Many Australian lives were touched by the February 7th 2009 - Black Saturday Bushfires in Melbourne.

The temperature in Melbourne on that day was 47.2c. 100 Fires spread across 208,000 hectares of land. With fires travelling at around 100km an hour - nothing would be in it's way.

More than 2,000 homes were lost, 500 people injured and 173 people lost their lives.
